Mom left us on this date three years ago. Sometimes it's hard to believe it's been that long and even harder to believe the personality we remember so well started to leave us many years sooner.
Yes it is hard to believe. It was, as your book title says, "A Long Farewell." The trouble is, we didn't know when it began. Maybe that was for the better. What would we have done differently if we had known? It is a cruel disease that slowly robs you of a person you love.

I still pray for Mom everyday. I can't believe it's been three years.
