Year by hear the complexities of this spinning world grow more
bewildering and so each year we need all the more to seek peace and comfort in
the joyful simplicities. –Woman’s Home Companion, December 1935
When you think about all the stuff available today to occupy our time and minds, I wonder if it's possible anymore to find "peace and comfort in the joyful simplicities"
I just read a piece on the internet about getaways where you can stay without access to the internet or cell phone signals. Another thought is to just turn off your phone and take a walk outside in our beautiful natural world.
When we were in Greece I didn't use my phone, due to the cost, and it was liberating. However, we were so busy on the pilgrimage I wouldn't have had time anyway - a little ironic!
